hi guys

i am close to sbuying my dj mixer but i saw that serato apparently doesnt support amd proccessors.

Apparently its to do with audio streaming on the usb bus and its not only serato that has problems with it.

I have a usb head and the audio through that is fine, serato runs on my system just fine without hardware.

Should i be worried or am i ok

ask if you need anything

thanks

pro

My Setup :P

You should kinda be worried :P

It could work just fine, but chances are slim.

If I said I were 14, you would call me a kid. If I say 70, you’ll entitle me too old. If I say 20 you say I’m inexperienced and if I say 40 than I'm too boring.

Ahhhh your a new to this, cdjs are the name of the player itself you play music on that controls the songs, also you should start learning all the ins and outs of the equipment if you want to be a dj, anything can happen

I used to have an AMD processor along with Traktor 2 Pro and often had weird issues. The multi-CPU/thread in Traktor wasn't working properly for example. I didn't have Traktor 2 Pro Scratch (along with CDJs or Vinyls) so I couldn't try that, however now I am with an Intel processor and Traktor is working perfectly. Native Instruments never said that they don't support AMD, but always recommended an Intel cpu.

I can't comment on Serato, but if it's anything like Traktor, I would recommend an Intel processor. Honestly, you would be better off asking on Serato forums. I don't think that much people here know about DJ softwares and since it is a very specific question regarding Serato compatibility, who better to answer than Serato users themselves :)

As for an AMD compatible software, maybe VirtualDJ is ? I always hate the name "VirtualDJ", but the software is actually pretty good and used by many DJs.

For running the software a simple i3 in a laptop can run it, it's not a demanding problem, what I would in your case is get a laptop as last resort, get the player and test it out, if it works your set, if it doesn't you might have to get a low end laptop

I buy all of my things from Amazon just in case I need to return items for any reason, I have had to return reference monitors (pioneer speakers to krk rokit) best speakers for producing imo, there is also warranty if there is a defective product, Amazon would also cover that
