Canon EF 17-40mm F/4L USM for $400

I've got a co worker selling all of his camera gear and he's got a canon eff 17-40mkm f/4l usm lens that he would sell me for $400. Do you guys this is worth it, it looks brand new. Comes with some hoods and what not.

Should I try and get cheaper ?

I think $400 is fair. you might want to check ebay etc. to see for how much they normally go ;)

I work as an admin so people already don't like me, I block facebook and all other crap like that lol

 

They sell anywhere from 400-700.

that is a heck of a wide angle lens if you're using a full frame camera. I'd try to go $350 but $400 isn't bad at all for an L lens like that

if you're using a crop frame (aps-c) sensor, it'll be more of a general shooting lens, and still a good option.

Sadly I'm a cheap ass when it came to my camera and I just bought a T5i :(
