Havent been on the game since release day, have they made any progress in optimizing the game?

i recently started following it and seeing what the game is about, upon research i did find that they update the game. so yea it probably has been tuned better than last time you played, i still dont know i if i should buy the game for myself just yet. im still recovering from how bad arkham knight is. 

Space Journal #1: So Apparently i  was dropped on the moon like i'm a mars rover, in a matter of hours i have found the transformers on the dark side of the moon. Turns out its not that dark since dem robots are filled with lights, i waved hi to the Russians on the space station, turns out all those stories about space finding humans instead of the other way around is true(soviet Russia joke). They threw me some Heineken beer and I've been sitting staring at the people of this forum and earth since.

Havent played that game, but i heard some pretty shitty things about it, even graphics being worse on PC than on consoles?

yea, it is on greenlight and i will never take a chance with those kind of games. its bad enough that finished games are broken these days. greenlight games are a different animal.

its a freaking alpha. its not supposed to be optimized yet. the point right now is to add features, beta is when you fix bugs and optimize. 

 

that being said, yes it has improved. it looks very nice on even a 750ti. and hell, it's not even out on consoles.

low everything, med textures, full texture resolution. 

 

they just took of like 2 gigs of ram usage last night I believe. They are pushing like 4 updates a day, it's kind off annoying when I try to run a server lol. 

 

edit: it looks like major crap, like a game from 2004, but my brother runs it even with a fx-6300+gts 450.

The game industry these days just keep shitting out crap cause people are gullible enough to buy it, ARK is the ONLY early acsess game that ive ever bougth, the rest ive ripped off my friends through steam share, i never buy a game unless it follows a franchise that ive known and loved for years or untill i KNOW its good.

there are so many franchises that i refuse to buy because the publishers fucked the entire thing up.

optimization is going to be limited since most stuff is server side

hey not to sound stupid but what does that mean and how does it effect it if you dont mind explaining

the game mostly being server side means that you play the game through the internet by connecting to their servers. which means that the game runs like crap and cant be optimized much on your end, meaning that you cant install some nice graphics drivers and the game will run better. the company has to do that on their end. and Dayz SA means Dayz the Stand Alone game. which also ran like crap.

What if you use sli with like 2 or more gtx 980's

you might render abit better but your interactions are still going to be limited.

 

they mainly run on server side so everyone see's the same thing like dinosaurs

Without optimizations in place, the GPU's combined will not have full GPU usage, even on single cards there is GPU usage drops time to time.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz
