It can do, but will depend on the speakers. If you have £20 speakers, they'll still sound bad, even with a DAC.

One of the main benefits is just getting the signal away from your PC, so you don't get noise and interference, but with speakers, you're going to lose some of the quality, just by the nature of them. You don't get the isolation and accuracy of headphones, unless you're in a studio environment.

Only if you get passive speakers that don't have a DAC and amp on board. Otherwise just ditch the amp and go for active speakers.

My speaker is a UE Boom, does it work with that?

No. Those are wireless. You'd need wired speaker to use an external DAC. They're also not very good sound quality, so there wouldn't be any noticeable improvement anyway.

I'm using it wireless

lol im a loser, I meant I use it wired

No matter if you have a DAC or not. Wireless or wired. Those speakers are going to sound horrible.

why?

They're just overall bad speakers, no amount of DAC can fix that. I would invest in some better speakers.

There are much better speakers for 200 euro

Nope, this is the best combination, sound quality + looks + battery + connectivity, the bose soundlink mini's battery is worse and the Bluetooth connectivity is bad en it only sounds a bit better

That's just not true. Not at all.

I worded that badly. Obviously speakers can be accurate and receive the full signal, but as they're not isolating other noises like headphones can, in most cases there'll be other noises that get mixed with the music. So the hum of your PC, noises outside etc. If they're being used in a studio environment, then that's different situation.

Most high-end headphones are open, simply because they have better imaging and sound staging. HD800, touted being one of the best headphones in the world was aimed to sound like a speaker, not a headphone

They may be the best shitty bluetooth mobile portable speakers you can buy on the market right now.... but those are all bad.

Xtroria is right about this. A friend of mine has the UE boom. It's a decent speaker for a small wireless one, but it definitely is not very good sound-wise for the money. Honestly, the big jambox sounds much better, and as I recall it's not all that much more expensive, at least if you buy it used. Regardless, there aren't really any bluetooth systems that sound good. The bandwidth is too low.

No, no portable bluetooth speaker will benifit from an external dac (to an extent, there are pobablly exceptions)

Only speakers that COULD benifit from a dac would be non portable 2.0/2.1/5.1/7.1 and ect sound systems/speakers

Don't be such anti logitech, so immature, it's a fact that this is one of the better.
