Ethernet Cable Question

So I have been using a crappy wifi card for a while and I want to run a Ethernet Cable to my PC! So long as it's not an old standard and is rated pretty fast there's no reason to spend so much money on an ethernet cable, that'll do just fine.

Any cables fine. As long as it's the standard you need. In this case cat 5e or 6. If you were doing in wall runs it would be different though.

I am going to be running it through a basement and crawl space to get under my room so is this cable fine?

Monoprice is usually cheaper for these things.

 

 

 

Cat5e is good for gigabit up to 100 meters or somethg like that.  Should be good.

They don't say what the jacket us made of. It's probably fine but don't run it next to any power lines
