  • 2 weeks later...

I have the 980Ti amp! extreme. Everything is perfect.

Badass Performance, silent, no coil whine, low temperatures.

But dont buy a reference card. realy, dont do it. Safe 100 extra bucks and buy a custom. Serious!

I don't have a problem with my 970 Zotac. My brother has one too no problems. Zotac is a branch from Sapphire but for Nvidia cards.

If Zotac is a Sapphire branch, then expect a rock solid and near perfect product.

I really wish Sapphire had just kept the name and looks for Nvidia cards. While Zotac has improved their looks drastically over the 970 Zotac models I really prefer Sapphire card's aesthetic.

First build every: Intel Core i7 4790K, Asus Z97-A/USB 3.1 motherboard, Kingston HyperX FURY 1866 2x8 16GB Kit, Gigabyte Windforce GTX 970 G1 Gaming, Corsair Obsidian 450D Black ATX Mid Tower, Samsung 850 EVO 250GB & 3TB Toshiba HDD, EVGA SuperNOVA 750W G2, Corsair H100i GTX 240mm, Gigabyte Bluetooth 4.0/Wifi Card, Logitech G700S. Running on Windows 10

Surface Pro 3: i5 4300U with 8GB of ram and 256GB SSD. Running Windows 10 Pro

I have a zotac 980ti reference card :)

not dealt with customer service.

but my cards a great overclocker!

I've managed a stable 1400Mhz clock speed which turbos to 1500Mhz. even clocked at 1250Mhz it still turbos to 1500.

if it weren't for thermal throttling I could push it way further!

Gaming PC: • AMD Ryzen 7 3900x • 16gb Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 3200mhz • Founders Edition 2080ti • 2x Crucial 1tb nvme ssd • NZXT H1• Logitech G915TKL • Logitech G Pro • Asus ROG XG32VQ • SteelSeries Arctis Pro Wireless

Laptop: MacBook Pro M1 512gb

Sapphire isnt known for binning cards too well, what they do however is that they do factory OC to the brink of the capacity of their chip, and make that OC rock solid. Take the R9 280X Toxic. It is so insanely OCd from the factory that you cannot increase the clock or memory even 10Mhz before artifacting happens, however at stock levels it wont throttle and it wont be unstable. Sapphire is the premium brand for AMD. Even if they do not charge a premium, they have THE best coolers, and they are the first company to use vapor chambers and heatpipes in GPU design from what i remember. Their VaporX models are simply SICK at cooling (the Tripple fan VaporX design has a cooling capacity of over 400w if i remember correctly, leaving crazy amounts of OC headroom)
