Yes.

An AMD cpu has no place in a solely gaming build, end of.

I3 4150, Intel HD graphics, corsair CX750M, 4gb ram, Asus H81M-E, corsair 230T, Intel stock cooler WD Green 2TB Gigabyte 550TI

Why you shouldn't trust Gpu or Cpu boss Click on this I dare you!

That could handle High 1080p on most games, still at 40-60fps.

Only real holdback is the i3

That's good for high/ultra 1080p

That's fine. If it were me I would try to get an i5. This is actually what I would do:

Note: 4GB is fine provided you actually run a clean system, but it's a quick and easy upgrade to 8 the very moment you need it. Some people will dislike the choice, but IMO it's worth it to get an i5, which is super important in my opinion.

edit: whoops, for some reason there were 2 HDDs in the first build. Fixed. I'd still go with 4GB of memory to start with so long as, again, you run a clean system. That's the easiest thing in the world to upgrade down the line as you just slap more in. Replacing CPU/GPU/PSU/MoBo requires rreplacing components instead of adding to, which is hugely more expensive. This should do fine for pretty much any game at 1080p at max (or near max) settings.

In single-threaded games yes. In multi-threaded games no.

The i5 is the cheapest CPU that meets both single and multi-threaded demands placed upon it by different games.

But new games need a quad core CPU.

But new games need a quad core CPU.

i3 can handle 4 threads at once due to hyperthreading, and games use it
