Windows 10 Explorer Crash

Hey, LTT Forum.

 

I recently installed Windows 10 on my machine (specs are in my signature). I seem to have encountered a very bad issue. Explorer crashes repeatedly and then completely stops restarting. I have to then Ctrl+Shift+Esc into Task Manager and run explorer in Administrator mode. It then proceeds to open, crash, open, crash over and over until (after about 15-20 seconds) it stops loading completely. How can I fix this? I thought it was a driver issue, but I'm not so sure... Advice?

I'm looking for an immediate fix, not someone to bitch to. This is a pretty urgent matter.

Ya but i mean betas are buggy so thats probably y ur having the problem.

Still report it so they can fix it. Or maybe they already know how to and can tell you.

This is why you dont get betas on ur every day machine....

I've had the problem on 7 and 8.1, too. Except those were fixable (I just ran explorer.exe in Admin mode).

Well, I can roll back my OS, but I want to see if it's fixable first. By finding this error I am beta testing.  :D

the solution to this problem is "report" and "deal with it"

or you can try a different build and hopefully the bug isnt in that one

Yeah, I should probably update to the 10130 build. I downloaded the preview about a month ago, but I only just installed it. I'll just consider it unfix-able for now and revert back to 8.1.

no! the 10130 has a lot of issues

dont use it or you might have to do a complete system restore from a USB

I have a pen drive with my restore info on it. If I update and it's really bad (or worse than it is now), I'll revert to windows 8.1.
