Earbuds

Go to solution Solved by eoso,

I'd personally prefer the m9p, but the m6p is still a good buy.

you could go with the m9p or the m6p from meelec.

I liked my m6's

Will work for electronic components and parts

The ID America Spark is much better than the Klipsch S4i.

And since you asked, I'll go audiophile on you.  :D

The 16/21/31 are updates to the m series after the 6/9's initial success. However, each model is tuned to different tastes. Below is the general consensus of the new line of IEM.

  • The m16 is considered to be the direct replacement to the m9. The m16 features a sweeter mid (such as vocals) while the m9 offers better balance.

  • The m21 is considered to be the direct replacement to the m6. The m21 has a warm, mid and bass rich sound with a less transparent soundstage than the m6. The m6 was well received because its of the clarity and separation. While the m21 does not lend itself to those attributes as much, it still has a good soundstage.

  • The m31, in my opinion, is the best of the new line. The m31 has the rich bass of the m21 and the sweet mids of the m16, topped with sparkly trebles. Its only fault is that the soundstage is not as wide.

Speaking of which, what are you going to using the earphones for? That might influence your decision.

I just realized that wasn't in my first post... it must have been in my first draft that I closed the tab on accidentally. These Earbuds are primarily for Skype/Teamspeak interactions and the occasional music listening. My music is all on my android that syncs to my Google play library which is lower quality mp3s. I don't want super-cheap that break easily and are uncomfortable, but I don't want $100+ that are primarily for music use.

I can't seem to find the m21p or m31p in stock anywhere, including the meelec website. Would you consider the m6p a good buy still, despite having the newer models of these earbuds out?

Klipsch image s4 (either the I or A version depending if you want the android version or the apple version, or you can just get the normal s4 with no inline controls)

Klipsch earbuds are the clearest and most balanced earbuds I've ever bought

I've seen good review about Audio Technica, but those don't have an in-line mic that I can see.

My last question still needs an answer though: Would the Meelectronics M6p be a good buy for my usage scenario despite the newer 16/21/31 models being out?

So I went with the m6p because I liked the memory wire for wrapping over the ear. Amazon sent me the Sport version (S6P) instead. However, I love the sound of these, and I can probably find a use for the armband anyway. My last earbuds were Beats (Which I regret now that I've had time with other audio equipment.) and these sound 100 times better than those ever did, and at about 1/3 the cost. Thank you a lot for the help everybody. It's likely there might have been a better pair of earbuds in here somewhere, but I am very happy with what I ended up with.
