mixing and matching ram?

so i have 4gb of ram and i am looking into getting another another 4 gb dimm and i was wondering how much if i mixed the ram that came with my system and some crucial stuff

As long as it's the same clock speed it's fine, there could be problems. Is it some generic ram? If not buy the same kit that's in the PC.

Match timings, voltages, and speed. Then you'll probably never run in to a problem.

its generic ram i think it's made by hynix or something
