Trouble with new build, Help please!

I am building a new rendering pc for a friend of mine, but When I try booting it up, it turns on, but the fans run REALLY slow, and then it shuts down, just to turn on again with the same results.

 

These are the parts i'm using:

CPU: core i7 4790K

GPU: Quadro K4000

MB: Gigabyte B85N Phoenix

PSU: Corsair CX500M

RAM: x2 8GB Hyper X Fury @ 1600MHz

HDD: Hitachi Deskstar

dunno, just took the parts out of the box and stuck the together (properly I believe)

Wait u have a "K" cpu and a B85 motherboard? whats ur logic?

U need to update the bios b4 u use the CPU with the motherboard. Tat board is not compatible with a 4690k out of the box usuallly.

Do you have another CPU laying around that is compatable with a b85 mobo? Also if not return it and get a z97 mobo to overclock the 4790k

thank you for your help, It turns out that the MB was busted, so I got a new one under warranty : )
