Hey guys! I need your help!

So my PSU have been making those 'static sound' even when it's shut down. It only goes off when i turn off the power switch. And also those 'static sounds' appears pn the speakers and headphones as well. When im on skype, the opposite party could hear static from me. So how do i fix this?

And since im here im gonna ask one more thing. I saw the first thread on how much watt do i need for my pc. But being the newbie that i am, i dont understand any of it.

750 should be fine. It sounds like cool whine to me. If you can hear it in your headphones it might be a grounding issue. I'd suggest looking at getting an rma.

that psu should be fine for SLI..

That said I would try with a different power connector, also ensure all cables inside the case are connected properly,

If it's still making the sound after you do these things, contact Corsair and initiate an RMA process for return.. there is a fault with the PSU.

Coil whine is usually a squealing sound rather than static but can also appear as a buzz.. If it sounds like static.. electricity arcing.. try what I said and if not fixed, contact corsair or the retailer you bought it from.

I look up online and it says that the 'CX' version is kinda crappy. So should i upgrade it to a 'HX' instead?

They aren't great.. not terrible but not worth the cost..

If your looking to replace it, then look at EVGA B2, G2 or GS, all great units and 7 year (IIRC) warranty.

Okay thank you so much! As for the cables do i just order it online?

Should be a standard "kettle" lead.. can get them almost everywhere.. including from monitors, kettles and other high-powered appliances.

Your board has an onboard graphics right? If so, try to remove the GPU and run the system using on board one and see if the noise will go away. If it's rather obvious where the noise is coming from, and you can actually zero it in from the PSU, best course of action would be a replacement PSU via RMA.

Also, try changing a few things in your BIOS, might be worth a shot - http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=85166
