Hello,

I'm planning a summer upgrade for my computer and this is where I currently am:

Is a Corsair AX760 (non-i) 80+ Platinum power supply enough to power:

1x i7-4790k (OC to 5.0Ghz)

1x Asus Maximus VII Hero

2x GTX980s in SLI (OC undetermined)

2x WD Green 3TB Hard Drives

1x WD Blue 1TB Hard Drive

1x Samsung 850 Evo

1x Corsair Force LS

4x DDR3 4GB Modules

6x 120mm Fans (Push/Pull on Triple Rad)

1x 140mm Fan (Rear Exhaust)

1x D5 Pump

1x (possible) LED strip

1x Corsair K70 RGB

1x Corsair M65 RGB

1x Creative Audio Speakers

GREEN = Already Own

Orange = Partially Own

RED = Not Purchased

I'd rather not upgrade my Power Supply, I'm hoping I won't be too bad with my 760w, knowing Nvidia's Maxwell TDP.

prepare for 980 ti comments

I already own a GTX980, I'm not willing to buy a 980Ti as I can't SLI it with my 980.

What voltage do you run that 4790k to get stable 5? :o

1.35v, Stays at ~32C Idle 65C under load (with a H105)

It will almost definitely work. I would just build it and see. Worst case scenario, you need to get a better one after the build.

It should be fine for what you want to do.

An AMD cpu has no place in a solely gaming build, end of.

I3 4150, Intel HD graphics, corsair CX750M, 4gb ram, Asus H81M-E, corsair 230T, Intel stock cooler WD Green 2TB Gigabyte 550TI

Why you shouldn't trust Gpu or Cpu boss Click on this I dare you!

Did you mess with any other bios settings/voltages to get that stable?

Nope. Just changed the Multiplier, changed the Voltage and put it to XMP mode and voila.
