if they cost the same, id go with WD, but usually seagate is 15-20$ cheaper depending on the drive, so if it is at least 15$ cheaper, go seagate

Get whatever offers the best $/GB for the class of drive you want to buy.

They have the same warranty, storage capacity, and no special features. The WD one costs $2 less, so get that one.

Hey xMishax,

Gaming relies on the storage's performance only for the loading times and FPS and graphics stay unaffected. The other usage that you are planning also benefits little from faster drives so it wouldn't really matter which drive you'll pick in terms of performance.
WD Blue has great speeds even though it's designed for simple computing and everyday usage. It's pretty reliable and works pretty quiet. :) Here's a link with more details if you need them: http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=FwpLJf

If this helped you, like and choose it as best answer - you might help someone else with the same issue. ^_^
