It seems like 2015 will be an exciting year of gaming. With the release of DX12, we're going to see a wider range of capable hardware, which is awesome! Some interesting games coming out as well. Another point of interest is the Xbox integration in Windows 10. However, their explanation of how it's all going to work was a big vague.

They mention an integration, but in what manner? Will I be able to play Xbox games on my PC? Does that mean I HAVE to own an Xbone to play these games (seeing as I don't own one)?

Has anyone read an article which is a bit more comprehensive?

There was talk about how you could stream Xbox One to your PC and I think from your PC to Xbox One too.

So you need an Xbox One if you want to stream to your PC (or vice versa)

What would be the advantage of streaming to your PC from your Xbox or vice versa? I could understand PC to Xbox to achieve a better living room experience, but why Xbox to PC? What's the point?

For the exclusives and the online games on Xbox One (which sometimes have a bigger user base than PC)

This would make sense if you didn't physically require an Xbone. But seeing as you do, there's no advantage of streaming to the PC, especially when you consider the inherent drawbacks of playing from a remote device, i.e. latency. The Xbox is physically there so you're able to play the exclusives, regardless of whether you have a PC or not.

Major point selling is, you don't need 3rd party hardware to stream your consoles gameplay to your pc

streaming purpose could be for twitch or just record gameplay for youtube, or anything your want.

if this actually works, it also might doable with anything if the software allows it.

they didn't show how it works, but probably works just like steam does it over network instead direct input.

if you don't have console, why bother, this features more useful for someone who own both devices

Like what? CoD maybe, but apart from that..

Yeah.

And you could say Xbox One GTA V has less hackers. Maybe FIFA too, something that is  very much not played on PC

But maybe the Xbox One is hooked up to the TV downstairs and your PC is upstairs.

You could stream PC games to your TV downstairs, or when someone is watching TV downstairs, you can play Xbox One on your PC. Seems cool to me
