Hey guys, this is a list of my entire PC setup, is there anything I'm missing or overpaying for? I'd like to reduce the price a tad but don't know what I can hold back on without sacrificing a lot of performance (eg. Getting a GTX 970 vs. a 980). I don't need a supercomputer, but I want to play games like Metro and BF4 on good settings. Thanks!!

Here's the list:

Haha alright, I'm just coming from a weaker setup with a 1000w, so I assumed I needed more

Welcome to the Forum.

Please use http://pcpartpicker.com

Also, what are you wanting to do with the build, what's your budget and what's your location?

Budget is under 3 grand, but I'd like to keep it as low as possible and it'll be strictly for gaming

Well you can probably re purpose the 1000w. Do you know the brand/efficiency rating? And with that budget you should be able to fit a 980TI or Fury X. The Fury X seems to perform a little better than the 980ti and I think it comes water cooled. But you'd have to wait for the Fury X to be released, it shouldn't be too long

What's that?

Those strix blocks do not fit that card.

It said it had a physical match, is that not enough?

Better getting the right block for that card.

What EVGA 980 specifically? Sine there's variations of the cards.

Either that or you've selected that wrong card.

Your budget is insane man. If you forget about the crazy (and unnecessary) water cooling setup you can get a whole new computer that performs better, and an amazing monitor, and an OS

I have that exact PSU and it has been great, can't hear it and Johnny guru gave it a great rating. MAYBE the cables are not the prettiest if that's a concern, but the point anyway is a single 980 and a 4790k don't need much power, you could probably get away with 700ish

Sweet, that should save some cash to sleeve the cables if they're that bad xD

Just the standard base model, and the evga block was cool but a bit pricey

That HydroCopper card is what you may have saw.

EK do make EVGA blocks. They may not have the EVGA logo on them but they fit.
