What to upgrade first?

Hello I just want to ask what parts should I upgrade first and what is your recommended for my system.
Since I'm just a student and my budget is limited I'm planning to buy the parts one by one. 

 

I'm just an ordinary type of gamer/user. I usually play DotA 2, CS:GO only and record videos for my games. But I'm planning to play games like GTA 5 and Dying Light in 2016

I'm using my brother's old monitor which has 16:9 aspect ratio / 1600 x 900 resolution.

 

My current build:

CPU: Intel Pentium G3258
MOBO: Gigabyte B85M Gaming 3
GPU: Sapphire R9 270x Dual X

RAM: 2x4gb Kingston Hyper X Fury Red 1866mhz

SSD: Crucial M550 120GB
HDD: 1TB WD Caviar Blue

PSU: Corsair CX 600W

CASE: NZXT H440 (Red / Black)

 

Budget for each parts:

CPU: Planning to get i5 4690k since based on my research i5 4690k is better than going for i7 right? or is i5 4690k overkill for my PC?
MOBO: 170 - 220$ Budget (Please suggest a black / red MOBO)
GPU: 450 - 500$ Budget
RAM: Planning to get 2 Kingston HyperX Fury Black
PSU: Don't have budget in mind yet.

I'm planning for a Red and Black theme PC.

First get a GTX 970, then a 4690k and  a mobo, then a PSU and then the RAM

Actually get 4690k first, then the GPU because it's more likely than not that Pentium will bottleneck 970 and your 270X is good enough for now anyway, you'll benefit more by upgrading your CPU.

@NeatSquidYT has a G3258 aswell as a 970, i'd like to see his input on this combo.

I do. It's a good combo that can max out a lot of games if the G3258 is OCed. I've only had stuttering issues with AW, but it's still playable.
