Hi all,

I know there is lots of these but im looking for answers more suited to the games i play/will play.

Specs: (Some of these parts are here next week but i won't have the card that quick anyways)

i7 2600k - Going to OC to atleast 4.4ghz but aiming for 5ghz

16GB Avexir RAM @ 1600mhz

GTX 560

Samsung 830 SSD

Asrock Extreme 4 Mobo

What i need is a GPU that will max out any game i play and will can handle Physx. I would wait for AMD's 9xxx series but i like Physx. I will be running one 32" monitor at 1080p.

Games i will be playing:

Planetside 2 - My most played game and will be until i reach the level cap or it dies out. Also not well optimized for now so even a 780 struggles but i know they will improve it.

Battlefield 3/4

Cod Ghosts

GTA V - If they give it to us PC players.

ARMA 3 - Will want to max this out for sure

So im looking at a 770 most likely. Or a 780? Or get a 760 and add a second one later? Also 2Gb, 3Gb or 4Gb? Remember ill most likely stay with one monitor at 1080p.

Thanks in advance

i7 4790k | Asus Z97 M-Plus | 16GB Mushkin 1600mhz | Sapphire R9 390X | Samsung 830 128GB SSD | 1TB WD Blue | Corsair HX750i | Corsair Carbide 330r Blackout Edition

If you can afford the 780 then definitely go for that. Though I heard Arma 3 is not well optimised, I could be wrong but I have heard that, so max'ing it out might be a little difficult. It's like Arma 2 which also isn't optimised, shame really :(

CPU: Intel Core i5 2550K @ 4GHz | Cooler: Gelid Tranquillo Rev. 2 | Mobo: Gigabyte GA-Z68AP-D3

GPU: XFX 1GB HD6850 OC'd | SSD: OCZ Agility 3 60GB | HDD: Samsung 500GB | PSU: Corsair HX520W | Case: Zalman Z11+

The GTX 780 is damn expensive here. The cheapest 780 is $1079 whereas the cheapest 770 is $729. That is a big gap. Im not trying to cheap out though but i think that is a way too big price gap

GTX 780 is $950 here, I bought mine from UK to Finland without taxes which brought the price to $700 which is still overpriced as hell. I would get 770 and another one later on and check if you can get them cheaper than that, I'd never pay that much for a GPU.

I should have said 1079 NZD which is still like 700 usd and over 900 aud. People who are mentioning the 780 having the extra 1gb of VRAM, if i were to go 770 i would get the 4GB one i'd say

Yeah that's 30-40 euros over the european price. :|

Then again in Switzerland you can get 780's for -50-60 euros.

Economy globalization is the pants.

At the moment its really difficult to run planetside 2 at max without running into issues such as crashing.
