hi guys i was thinking to upgrade my cpu (i3 4130) to an i5 is it worth it? i was thinking too that maybe i can wait for the new skylake cpus to come out so i can get a discount what do you think? and do i need to change my motherboard to a better one? right now i have a msi h81 p33 M-ATX

What is your graphics card? It's only worth to upgrade if your current GPU is being bottlenecked

i bought a r9 270 dual x

Not really nessecary to upgrade with that GPU, as you wont get a lot higher fps (maybe only a bit).

I don't think you would need a new motherboard, as it is the same socket but maybe you need a BIOS update for it.

 

I think @zappian upgraded from an i3 CPU to an i5 CPU with a 270X too.
