Sapphire vs. GTX

Hi, I wanted to know which would be better(cooling isn't really an issue right now) the R9 280x Sapphire Radeon, or the Nvidia Geforce GTX 780ti  and wattage isn't really a concern either because I've already run the calculations through a wattage calculator and I'm gonna have to get a Corsair 1000 watt professional power supply either way.  I apologize I made a mistake I meant 280x not 270x so don't hate on Enderman.

the 780ti is far better than a 270x...lol

What are the rest of your specs? I doubt you'll need a 1000W PSU.

 

The 780ti is a much better option, or you could get a 970, 980, or 980ti instead.

Yeah well I'm kinda going for a cheaper build right now, So I'm going with a Vishera architecture CPU AMD FX black edition unlocked of course

The case will have 4 Ext. drive bays minimum because I plan to use a DVD player/DVD burner as well as a blueray so I can use it as a multimedia machine.

Not a good idea.

Advice coming from 8320 owner.

Wait for Zen or get a locked i5.

The FX CPU will bottleneck the 780 TI anyway.

You don't need a 1000w PSU for single GPU, you only need 500w

You can hate Maxwell all you want but leave mah fooking Kepler outta this

Nvidia is to Dr Dre Beets as AMD is to KFC.

One makes you broke, the other you can get more of and have a midnight snack from the fridge when hungry again. Once you go Nvidia, you go broked, turn into an Elitist, or get the incorrect amount of VRAM.

The 8370 sucks for gaming dont buy it.

That will cost the same as FX and a mobo but will game 30-50% better.

Lol I forgot the memory, I'll probably go WD caviar Blue 1 TB because it's cheap and then later on I'll go for a red or black in either 2 or 1 TB and for the Windows 8/Windows 10 what ever is out when I build this will be put on an Intel 730 series SSD because it'll be a faster boot.

WOW RTB thank you so much for that!  The AMD FX is even more expensive but I only went with it because of the higher factory clock speed.

np, if u can afford it a 4690k will be even better, and a 4690k wont bottleneck a titan x so for gaming its as good as it gets
