Pc going sloow

Hi guys,

 

My pc is running slow for the last few days and it only has 2 weeks.

 

Example, when i move some windows for them to be in another place in my screen it lags, it move in "pieces". Programs take some time to open, some times the program crashes.

 

specs

 

mobo: gigabyte ud4 x99

cpu: i7 5280k

ram: hyperx 8g 2133 mhz

video: 980

HDD: seagate 2tb

psu: 850w cooler master V

windows 8.1

Did you defarg your drive? Have you tried doing a virus scan? Have you tried checking if your processor is busy with a unoptimised process in the task manager.

when was the last time you clean installed windows

get a ssd

What don't you get?  You have a very high end machine, any performance issues are going to be either in component compatibility or software.
