I don't know what you mean by "convert". Your phone should be able to read most audio files.

Why don't you just use iTunes? It should be able to convert most formats into either AAC or MP3.

get foobar2000 and download the open source "lame mp3" codec. It'll get you much higher quality and it's legal.
