Because appel. I think they use the additional pins for charging or their adapters or video or something and 3.1 needs all of the pins, might be wrong though.

Haha what exactly are you doing that USB 3.0 is soooooooooooo slow that you absolutely need 3.1? First world problems for sure. I just upgraded to USB 3.0 earlier this year. Just go back to USB 2.0 for a month and then try USB 3.0 again. You'll understand.

That's the same as saying just go back to a dual core for a month and come back to your i7. For that amount of money it should be 3.1 speeds. It would be acceptable for a lower price tag.

They might include 3.1 in the next one and make it revolutionary :P

I would rather take two Asus UX305's and share with someone if I had enough money to buy a toy that expensive.

first of all that is the only port i though maybe its not so bad if it can do 2 usb 3 at full speed with a dongle but not anymore. also thats like saying why is a pentium sooooo slow that you absolutely need a i5 first world problems right. also what about being robbed that is sooooooo bad other people get murdered first world problems
