So this has been my first endeavor into Visual Basic, and I want to know what you guys think of the first 3 programs I made (with help, of course). The notepad and calculator were both cranked out in about 7 minutes, with the web browser taking about twice as long, since it was a little more difficult for me to follow along with. So, yeah. And if you guys have any other ideas I could try to make (with help, again), PLEASE share them since for once I am not bored.

Woo ,random exe files from the net , my favourites .

The browser does load pages 5x faster than my Chrome, i might use it :)

Since i've only tried the browser , i have a few ideas that i'll be adding to this post below this line :

- Full-screening doesn't extend the navigation bar ( only extending the url field might do it )

- I'm glad to see you dont need to input http(s):// for it to work , but after you press enter ( or go ) i'd like to appear in front of the url ( personal preference )

- Home is MSN ? 7305eb9f41.png

- Pressing links ( or home button ) , doesn't change URL bar

- Opening browser doesn't open Home page .

That was fast...

can you try making an ASCII art generator?

Input would be monochrome bitmap... output would be a text file...

We used this as an excercise for fileI/O, bitwise operations, and memory operations in C... VB should have similar functionality iirc...

That was one of the things I just figured out how to do and I am in the process of fixing it. Only warning I have: I'm not sure just how secure it is, so... Keep that in mind.

Depending on what I can find, maybe. :P

Sure why not! Give it a go :) But AI is probably needed, well a random generator that just places wherever it likes is a solution xD

I don't think I would attempt to have people run something that would fuck things up. :P

That is an issue with the browser. This was actually the first thing I made, and I'm pretty sure I did a few things wrong. I used the BASIC web browser deal, which might be part of the problem. However, I did fix the address bar not scaling, so check it out again.

Yeah, that is something I haven't quite figured out. Probably has something to do with the web browser form, since it is really simplistic.

I've had a go of the browser. It's pretty quick actually, although it did have an issue with running scripts when I tried toaccess anything on the LTT website.

Although it goes through fine when you click yes, but happens every time on the forums.
