oK Before I start, I don't know what section to put this in, so I brought it here. Please don't start threatening to bomb me and iraq because of my mistakes, just move it or what ever.

Yes yes I know the game is hella old, but I still love it and will be playing it until a newer one comes out.My problem is that I have 2 screens currently, one running on 1024x768 and another on 1920x1080 which would be my main one. But the problem is, if I try to play the game with 2 screens, it will never come on one screen properly. My fps gets cut in half, the resolution never comes up to 1080p, and it looks like shit no matter what I do.

The problem is solved when I take my other extra monitor out of the equation. I could just play with one monitor then connect the other when done, but I don't want the hassle just to play one of my favourite simulators. So any suggestions?

This has been a problem since release I think.

There's this from a Microsoft page, give it a try?

Multiple monitor setup information is also available within the Learning Center in Flight Simulator X. To open the Learning Center, follow these steps:

Start Flight Simulator X.
Click Learning Center.
Click the Index tab, and then click the letter D to go to the Display section.
Under Display, click Using Multiple Monitors.

Other than that I believe you just need to run in windowed mode.

Using multiple monitors as in the game is displayed over multiple monitors or the game is going to run on one monitor but let the other one do its thang? I'll try it.

Thanks for advice

fsx has never worked well in multi monitored setups. Best stick to a single monitor.

Uhh.. I think it's for gaming on one monitor while you have multiple monitors.

Yeah, it gave me a lot of headaches trying to do it.

I just want to be able to watch youtube videos and such while flying my boeing 747 from atlanta to dubai without having 2 fps and 800x600 resolution in a tiny window.

And @AlwaysFSX it's displayed over multiple monitors which isn't what I want, but o well. I'll just run on single monitor for now

Ah, well without having the game installed I can't go through it myself to find out.

I know windowed mode works at any resolution without impacting performance, usually.
