I'm looking for a gaming computer for around $800 and I was wondering if this would do?

Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor

Cooler Master Hyper TX3 54.8 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler

MSI Z97S SLI Krait Edition ATX LGA1150 Motherboard

Kingston Fury White Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory

Sandisk Solid State Drive 128GB 2.5"

Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM

EVGA GeForce GTX 960 2GB SuperSC ACX 2.0+

NZXT H440 Case

Corsair CX430M

This is going to be my first time building a whole PC.I am wondering if the 128bit bus on the GTX 960 would be enough to play games and maxing them out at 1080P? I'll also be adding another GTX in the future in SLI.Is this the right motherboard

Thanks

If you want to save a few $ go from 1866Mhz memory to 1600 since its the same performance for gaming. Also the GTX 960 is a good card for the money but don't expect it to play games at 1440p or 4K.

The 960 won't max out games, and please use PC parts picker and post the link for the parts list.

SLI 960 is not worth it.

Spend less on your CPU and go to an i5 4460 (you can also spend less on a motherboard this way) and spend a bit more on your GPU.

Would a GTX 970 4GB be better so?

yes. that was I was going for with the cheaper CPU and saying SLI 960 is not worth it :)

Would that fit your budget?

Yeah I think I might then go for a GTX 970 instead of the SLI 960's

You could do that no SSD yet more performance.

I play a lot of counter strike and when I upgrade I'll be playing games like Skyrim,Fallout New Vegas and Farcry.Would the GTX 960 be able to play these at high settings or is that asking too much?

CS:GO, Skyrim, and Fallout are generally more CPU based. (not speaking modded for the last two)

Far Cry however likes GPU power a lot too and I think the 970 would suit your really well. The 960 can just barely do it at 1080p.

Modded Skyrim (and I believe Falllout: NV too) like a lot of VRAM. A GTX 970 will be very much optimal for these games.

Skyrim and I think Fallout yet yet not Farcry unless if its Farcry 1 of course.
