If you had $23,781.00

For 23k you might just get yourself a nice house in Detroit or some crap..

Houses cost much more.

depends on your location. Where im going to college, for 15K you can get a house thats 70-90K anywhere else, because the housing market hasn't recovered. instead of staying at the dorm im looking at the 80+ sub 10K houses in the area.

most areas in the US houses start at 50K.

so for 23K, id buy a house, and a car over some computer

Omfg getting really bored of these "got bored, look how expensive I made a PC build"

I think they're great. I really look forward to coming home and reading about a 21 grand pc with more than half of it spent on peripherals. We get something fresh each time, and I can't wait for the next one.

Jk they are the scum of the earth.

I'm going by USD not AUD so I'd buy a 2013 Toyota Prius Two or Three in Silver or Grey ($14,998) and then the rest would go for a Canon 70D with a Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 and Canon 50mm f/1.8 STM ($1,874), build this PC http://pcpartpicker.com/p/NjPyrH ($2,955), a 15" rMBP ($2,399), and spend like $333.97 on stuff from Ikea and then the last thing I'd buy would be a Steelcase Leap from Amazon ($919). Whatever I have left would probably go towards a month of insurance.
