Which Raspberry Pi are you talking about? Raspberry Pi 2? The original RPi does not run Windows because it's an ARM processor, simple as that. While Windows RT is (was) out there it does not run on the specific ARM processor in the RPi. You can technically run Windows 10 on the RPi2, however it's not reeeeaaally a Windows experience, as it is an IoT OS.

The only thing close to it would be if you get a RPi 2 and run Windows 10 - but that is a non-GUI version of Windows 10 meant for development only. You can not run any other variant of Windows on them.

To add to this, a Russian developer has created a program that can run x86 applications on the Pi2. You should be able to couple a Ubuntu install with Wine to that program and it may just work.

So I thought I should get a raspberry pi and see if I can run gomez peer on it, id like to ask if anyone with a raspberry pi and windows 7 as a os on it has tried running gomez peer, thanks in advance :)

Sorry I have nothing to contribute to the thread, but I'm curious about Gomez Peers, can you actually make significant money with a powerfull PC and connection or is it like bitcoin mining where as it isn't worth it ?

CPU : Intel Core i7 3960X, Mobo : X79-UD3, Memory : 4x4GB Vengeance Black Memory 1600MHz, GPU : Asus GTX 970 Strix, Case : Switch 810 Matte Black, Storage : 256GB Samsung 830 SSD, Seagate Barracuda 1TB, PSU : Thermaltake 750W 80+ Bronze, Displays : 3x Asus 1080p Screens, Cooling : Corsair H100i, Keyboard : Logitech G710+, Mouse : Madcat Cyborg R.A.T.7, Sound : Sennheiser HD598, V-Moda Crossfade LP, Logitech Z-5500, HMD : Oculus Rift CV1

you won't earn any money if you don't have a raspberry pi with windows xp as a OS and that is if gomez peer can be run on that processor, otherwise you won't earn a profit and you won't cover the electricity bill, and the amount you earn doesn't depend on how powerful your pc is

Oh, so the less powerful it is, the better ?

Since the RasPi runs a very heavily modified version of Linux specifically tailored to suit it, many common Linux applications are unavailable to it.  My best guess would be that it is incompatible with Gomez Peer and furthermore simply too underpowered to run Windows properly or easily.

Also @WhatComesAround you should really follow your topics.

My life is consumed by CS:GO, even though I'm not exceptionally good at it.

In order of priority: GTX 970 Strix, 2 good 1080p monitors, i5 4690k, MSI Z97 Gaming 5 LGA 1150, a job

Right, thanks mate. but what about windows xp, could it run it, and do you by any chance know any small PCs similar to the raspberry pi that can run windows and are a little bulkier but more powerful and above all use very little electricity?

well no, you see the amount of electricity that the pc uses is very important, the less the better, but you need to have decent amount of power. Though mind that Gomez peer doesn't require a very powerful machine at all.

I don't think gomez peer is activating peers anymore :/ I joined a year ago, the peer app is still running of all three of my machines in the background and I haven't been activated. I also tried contacting them, but no luck. Sorry mate, I thought I stuck gold too.
