[Build Log] - Black Templar

Bitt3rSteel

After lurking about for quite some time, I have decided to share my new build with you.

This will be a two part project. First of all, I will be gathering parts and doing some light modding and in a later stage I will be doing a custom loop for added sexyness.

I plan to do a White on Black build; meaning the case and most parts will be black(ish) with white accents added. I would have loved for a pure white build, but i really didnt feel like using the H440 or painting the Define S.

And the rest!

The good news: Most of the parts have actually come in much quiker than i had hoped. I will be reusing my 980's from my current build, along with the i7-4790k. All that's left is wait for Amazon to delive my case...if only the seller provided tracking :<

Edit: Snow Leopard is dead! Long live Black Templar! Since there appears to be an older build with this name, I have chosen to go for Black Templar. The color scheme matches the chpter colors and who does'nt love WH:40k?

When i started planning, i was still in denial about the 980 ti. Now i will wait for the Gigabyte G1 to release at which point i will sell my 980s and buy 2 G1 980 ti's. I can't wait :3

Update 1: Going over my parts list, i have noticed I am short some paint. I could have sworn iI had a can lying around, but alas. I will be ordering some matte white plastidip.

I plan to spray the ROG shroud on my motherboard white and add a decal of sorts to the case side and/or front once it arrives. Now to find a good stencil...

Good news! The SLI bridge that came with the Motherboard is actually perfect for my chosen color scheme! i was afraid it would be a standard orange one or a black/red ROG one, but no! its perfect!

Game resembles chess pieces which are black an white

Devil resembles the i7 4790K inside it A.K.A. Devil's Canyon
