We need specs of both computers...

Follow the topics you create using the "Follow" button in the top right corner!

One day I will have my GTX 970. One day. PC specs are at my profile.

Not sure how to check what part works with what? Check out my compatibility guide!

Windows is the worst way to measure a computer's performance. They even discontinued it after windows 7.

You are probably hindered by the Hard Drive's speed.

ya it lowered alot with my harddrive speed although they are the same as my old one. have a site to get a real rating?

Nope, use real benchmarks and compare real scores against other people's verified scores. If you have an i5 and 970, you can compare it to other users with the same hardware, etc.

There is not really any singular place to get a "total rating" score of your overall computer performance. Nor would I necessarily trust any that offered any such service.

You'd be better off doing individual tests if you want to see how your old and new PC's compare.

I'd test the following:

HDD benchmarks - Crystal Disk Mark http://crystalmark.info/software/CrystalDiskMark/index-e.html

CPU benchmarks - 3D Mark or PC Mark CPU Test

GPU benchmarks - 3D Mark or PC Mark GPU Test

You could also test RAM speed I guess?
