Hello awesome citizens of the internet,

I'm planning to build my own PC, but I'm still not which graphics card to use. I will mainly use it to play CS:GO at medium settings and record it @ 1080p 60fps at the same time. Power consumption and overclocking potential don't matter. Below are my current specs:

Intel core i5 4460

Asus Z87-A motherboard

8GB of DDR3-1600 RAM

Please tell me which card i should use or if there are any problems with my setup.

Thank you!

Well, for that you're looking at something like a 280X (even a 260X could manage it, but the 280X is better bang for buck)

Aftermarket 980Ti >= Fury X >= Reference 980Ti > Fury > 980 > 390X > 390 >= 970 380X > 380 >= 960 > 950 >= 370 > 750Ti = 360

"The Orange Box" || CPU: i5 4690k || RAM: Kingston Hyper X Fury 16GB || Case: Aerocool DS200 (Orange) || Cooler: Cryorig R1 Ultimate || Storage: Kingston SSDNow V300 240GB + WD Black 1TB || PSU: Corsair RM750 || Mobo: ASUS Z97-A || GPU: EVGA GTX 970 FTW+

"Unnamed Form Factor Switch" || CPU: i7 6700K || RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury 16GB || Case: Phanteks Enthoo Evolv Mini ITX (White) || Cooler: Cryorig R1 Ultimate (Green Cover) || Storage: Samsung 850 Evo 1TB || PSU: XFX XTR 550W || Mobo: ASUS Z170I Pro Gaming || GPU: EVGA GTX 970 FTW+

What if I told you that I only have $150 for the card. I am willing to cut down some graphics detail for capture framerate, so I'm looking for the cheapest one.

i use a 260x and on medum settings it gets 150+ fps (cpu is a athalon x4 760k its crap i know :( ) your i5 should bring more though

Erm I am not sure but the Nvidia 960 or AMD 270/270X is all you need for the game but I would rather if I where you get the 280 or 280X. ^_^

depends on your budget good bang for the buck  are the 270x or the gtx 960.

you dont really need those 980ti's or 290x to play games on a decent setting.

also on a side note anyone recommending a 970 for 1080p is wrong, that graphics card is complete overkill for that resolution, either use it for DSR  or just get a 960, no point in spending 100 dollars more on something you aren't going to fully utilize the gpu's capablities
