Okay mine isn't that warm.

Specs: Core I7-2600K @ 4.5GHz @ 1.35V, 4x4GB Corsair Vengeance Black 1600MHz CL9, Cooler Master Evo 212, MSI Z77 Mpower Motherboard, Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 Vapor-X @ 1000/1400, Cooler Master HAF 932 Blue Edition w/ 3 Cougar Hydraulic Bearing 120MM fans (2 up top 1 in the bottom) replaced side panel with a window, and rear fan with a Cougar Hydraulic Bearing 140MM, Cooler Master GX 650 80+ Bronze PSU, Samsung DVD-RW, Samsung 840 Pro 128GB SSD, Seagate 750GB SATA III 7200RPM

Are you using passive cooling or the intel stock cooler? I heard they perform the same.

My i7 2600 on the stock cooler at stock speeds reaches the TJ-MAX (Maximum temperature before thermal throttling occurs) which is 98 degrees for all cores.

 

I ran Prime95 for five minutes, and my CPU had throttled down to 500MHz. Yeah, you read that correctly, 0.5GHz. 

If you want screenshots, I'll have to run it again :3

You think? Haha. My friend owns the 2700k and when he installed his H100i incorrectly his temperatures kept hitting 100 degrees... no throttling. Which is the odd part, I think he may have disabled something in the BIOS that he wasn't meant to. Luckily for him I knew that on Intel boards there is a possibility you can install the heatsink bracket upside down, so I went over and flipped it round and all was well... temperatures are now 30 degrees idle and a maximum of 50 under load. On rare occasion it hits 55!

Apparently my laptop idles at over 80°C.... I don't really feel like seeing the temps when I decide to run a game or do something intensive.
