GTX 970,R9 290x 8gb or AMD 300 series.

My question is would i need the 8gb of the r9 290x in the future. I am gaming at 1080p and later 1440p, or would the 4gb of the gtx 970 be ok for those resolution also in the future. Then there is also the upcoming 300 series from amd which are mostly rebrands besides the Fury with hbm which i could be interested in also. What do you guys think ^^?.

the 970 would be perfectly fine for 1080p and 1440p.

I use my gigabyte gtx 970 for running my 1080p monitor (which I use for gaming) and my 1050p monitor which I have youtube or some random crap open in, it performs wonderfully in every game that I've tried.

you could wait and see what the 300 series has to offer, since launch is not that far off
