I'd recommend looking at ikea.

What desk's do the linus media group employees have?

I believe Linus is using an Ikea Bekant L-Desk in one of his setups. Not sure tho. Check out the desks in store. They look much different online than in real life. Make Ikea your first destination. They have awesome deals.

there also using adjustable desks since taran got RSI.

But i think there using a few different ones maybe @nicklmg can confirm

problem is most people dont have a local ikea. ikea does not have a lot of locations in the states. atleast ive never personally seen one and never lived closer than an hour and a half from one. and ive moved quite a bit recently

I'm currently using a Steelseries tabletop placed on top of two small shelving units (I'd post proof if I was at the office).

We're getting UpDesks at the new office.
