Is one of my 970s dying or is this something else?

This has happened to me a few times starting about a week ago. It only happens in CS:GO, and goes away after a restart. Doesn't happen in the Witcher 3 or any other games.

Check clock speeds and temps in afterburner ?

Maybe one of the gpu's fans is staying off .

Recommend what is best, not what you preffer.

Looks like more of a software issue as it is only happening in one game. Try reinstalling it and go from there

If you want my attention, quote my post or I will not see it. I ignore builds that do not use PCPartPicker.

SNIP

Don't worry, this happened to my 970 STRIX after keeping my rig on sleep overnight and then playing Black Flag. It never happens otherwise. And if it's happening only in one game, then it's definitely not your GPU dying.
