aww, I completely missed the "V3"

I do that all the time..

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

FX 8320, cheap, overclocks like beast, pretty decent for gaming, multi tasking, rendering and editing.

But @OP said that he wanted to game also, so he would need a dedicated GPU anyways.

FX 8320 is fine for normal stuff, but Intel will be the better solution for gaming(ATM, wait for Zen and Skylake).

FX CPUs are poor in single threaded tasks, but are fine in multi threaded tasks.......compared to like a i3 or a locked i5.
