Hi!

I've swapped few things around once again, and I think this is my final post for my build, before I order it (less than a month) So here it is.

Motherboard: Asus Z97-PRO(Wi-Fi ac) ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  ($207.98 @ Newegg)
Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX 980 4GB STRIX Video Card  ($575.98 @ Newegg)
Case: NZXT S340 (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case  ($79.98 @ Newegg)
Total: $1431.90
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

I'll be using this PC for Gaming/Editing/3Danimations/VFX stuff. In the future I'll upgrade it to 32gb of RAM and so i'll be able to edit 4k footage (i hope).

So tell me your thoughts is it OK, what should I change etc.

And one more question. nVidias GTX 980Ti is comming out soon (within two weeks i think) and do you think that prices of GTX980 will drop?

Thanks!

CPU: i7 5820K Motherboard: MSI x99A SLI PLUS RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR4 2800mHz (4x4gb) GPU: MSI GeForce  GTX 980Ti Case: NZXT S340 Storage: 840 Evo 120gb and WD Blue 1TB  PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA G2 850W CPU Cooler: be quiet! Dark Rock 3

The prices will differently drop for the 980. That's why I'm waiting so I can get one myself. But if you're in a hurry and need to get the PC. Then just go for it.

EDIT: The PSU is a bit overkill. But if you're going for SLI then keep it. Also the 980 ti is most likely an Nvidia Titan X. So 980 SLI will most likely be better than a single 980 ti, ( assuming that the specs are right)

EDIT 2: 980 ti will have 6GB rather than 12GB from the titan x

Looks like a solid build.

Prices on everything will drop a bit, but 980 will be hit the hardest, yes.

Good luck man ^_^ that is a great build for under $1500, but I have one question, wheres your storage?

Oh yeah, I've forgot to mention, that I allready have storage.

-SSD Samsung EVO 840 (120gb - In future order another and connect them in RAID 0)

-HDD Western Digital Blue 1TB

I must ask, why 2400mhz? the performance difference is marginal and the price difference is huge. 1600mhz seams to be the sweet-spot

Alright. Be prepared to reload Windows a lot with RAID 0, I'm sure you already know that though.

Enjoy your epic build :D

Hm... I'll see what's about the prices of GTX980... I'll probably wait, just because I'm not in a hurry.

I'm concidering SLI in the future that's why I choose 750W PSU.

I've watched a lot of reviews, and the guys who're working with video editing suggested as fast RAM as possible. So that's why.

Are you sure you need to spend so much on a motherboard? $140 board + $20 WiFi card should cover all the bases and be cheaper.

i5 4670k - Z87X-UD3H - EVGA GTX 670 Sig 2 - Samsung 840 Evo 250GB - 8GB Avexir Core White 1600Mhz - Corsair 750D w/ RGB LED Mod & Remote Control - 2x SP120 - 3x Enermax Cluster - 2TB Seagate SSHD - Arctic Freezer 7 Pro Rev.2 - SuperFlower Leadex Gold 750W

Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO is a much better and less expensive cpu cooler.

-HDD Western Digital Blue 1TB

In most applications ssd in RAID 0 do not offer any real world performance improvement over a single larger unit.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

This motherboard will not heat so much as let's say Gigabyte GA-z97X. Also I prefer ASUS motherboards, because of their great customers support in my country.

But can you get wifi card which support AC internet?

Currently I'm having arctic freezer and I'm very impressed how great it cools my cpu.
