Hiya all, so Win8 doesn't sit well with you guys, so instead i'm going to be giving one lucky poster a key for Windows 7 Ultimate. Obviously if you already have Windows 7 Ultimate, please don't enter, let people with vista or home edition try to win. 

 

How to enter:

Make ONE post in this thread declaring why you would like to win a copy of Win7 Ultimate, all double posters will be disqualified. 

 

Closing date: 31st July.

I will pick 5 creative posts, then check to see if you haven't double posted, check to see if you haven't copied some other poster, then randomly choose out of those five. The winner will be announced on the 1st, and PMed and named on this very post. You can edit your posts! The latest post will be judged on the 31st, and of that bunch the winner decided.

One dark November evening I was viciously conned by my Korean 'friend' who gave me what I didn't know was an evaluation copy of windows 7 ultimate for my liquid-cooled, gaming rig, running an intel i9 6750X clocked at 8GHz with 6 AMD 10,970s running in SLI crossfinity. Now that the evaluation copy has run out, my life has become a living hell. Everyday I am reminded by my computer that I need to purchase a copy of the operating system. Violent pop-ups have interrupted games and caused my death many times. I am only permitted to have a black background with an arrogant message from microsoft telling me that my copy is unlicensed. Just yesterday a microsoft employee turned up at my house, put a gun to my head and gave me one month to come up with a copy. My very LIFE is at risk.

 

I....must.....win.....or I may never see the release of AMD's 9000 series of GPUs.

I have a Computer that is in another language and I would like to have a windows ultimate so I can change the language and boost my computer!

I would like to win this copy because for the entirety of my build (13 months now) I've been forced to use Ubuntu. Nothing wrong with Ubuntu! It's just that I'm still not used to it or the layout and I'd much prefer the ease-of-use of Windows, as well as being able to use Visual Studio so I can program in C++. It's kind of irritating that the majority of games that I own on Steam won't run (or I can't get them to run) on my current OS.

 

Oh, and I just remembered driver support. I can't even use my headset because I'm not running a Windows machine, but I've used them on another Windows computer and they're the best sounding speakers I've heard in my entire life, for now. (Not the best sounding, but really good from my experience) Edit: They're the Cyber Snipa 5.1, by the way.

I have used XP for most of my childhood and I loved it. It was very user friendly and easy to navigate around. My dad then got a new computer with Vista on it. I tried it and hated it from day one. The only thing I liked about it was Aero. It didn't feel as easy to use and it felt slower even though the specs were 10x better. Now I know Windows 8 is out and I really want to try it but based on what I read about 7, I might win this and upgrade my dad's computer. Windows 7 seems to be significantly more light weight on the system which will be good for an aging system. Plus it's not that different and my dad has gotten used to Vista. I am currently using Windows 7 Home Premium but I would like to win this for my dad.

Now imagine maintaining 5 LAN Gaming Machines. Anything donation or freebie goes a long way in helping me keep my room and systems comfortable without killing my bank account. Winning a free copy of Win 7 would be awesome! I would use this copy to complete my fifth build as I am still piecing it together.

Loving some of the responses, keep it creative, it doesn't all have to be truth, adding some spice every now and then shouldn't (don't quote me on this) hurt anyone.
