I can't cut corners though.

@WereCat I think you forgot a CPU cooler.

Any unknown button should be pressed even number of times.

WereCat I think you forgot a CPU cooler.

You don't really need an aftermarket cooler for a non k processor, you might need it if your system is running a bit hotter then you want or your ambient temp is quite high.

Steve Wozniak - "Never trust a computer you can't throw out a window."                                                                                                                                               Carl Sagan - "If you want to make an apple pie from scratch, you must first create the universe."

Take h97 if you take locked (non k) processor. And stock cooler is just fine, so you can save a buck or two.

Why do you guys all pick an i5, an i3 is good enough for LoL, Smite, Cs;Go

And although he mainly talked about those, he also wants to play other games as well.

Currently roaming the forums in boredom

I like mice and keyboards and the sort

R9 270 is probably right for you, but you cant get an i5 and an r9 270 with a 500 dollar budget. If youre willing to overclock you should get a g3258. It only has 2 cores though so if you wanna play GTA V you should get a 4 core CPU like the x4 860k. I3 is probably not a good idea because ht can have negative impact on gaming performance.

Basically I want a gaming PC that can run most games at 50-60fps the main games I will probably play will be like csgo LoL and smite so not very intensive my budget is £550 including windows thank for you help

Can we assume that you mean most games at 1080p Ultra?

The CPU and GPU can be a bit of a hot discussion, but as long as you get a good quality power supply and a half decent motherboard (for a decent upgrade path, like a Z97 board) you should be more or less covered.

GTX 960 is a great card that I personally recommend, but you won't be able to run ALL games at 1080p Ultra (the only game I have to turn the settings down is Crysis 3).

Also, try to cut corners where possible. For example, I got a secondhand case from a friend. It may not cut down the cost massively as a whole, but every little helps.

Just don't cut corners on your PSU.
