Budget 1440P monitor for GTX 980

Trolling

Any recommendation on 1440P monitor for GTX 980?

I prefer gaming on 24"-27" display.

What's the most bang for the buck type of display for gaming?

INTEL I5-4670K | ASUS Z87-A | CORSAIR 16GB Vengence | EVGA GTX 980 SuperClocked | SAMSUNG 850 EVO 250GB | COOLER MASTER CM Storm Scout 2 | CORSAIR RM850

Would you want 144HZ as well?

An AMD cpu has no place in a solely gaming build, end of.

I3 4150, Intel HD graphics, corsair CX750M, 4gb ram, Asus H81M-E, corsair 230T, Intel stock cooler WD Green 2TB Gigabyte 550TI

Why you shouldn't trust Gpu or Cpu boss Click on this I dare you!

Looks like a decent option.

I'm little bit worried with the 4MS response time.

Would that result in ghosting?

Anything under 5ms is fine. Would have to be a lot higher for ghosting.

Im running a dell u2515h with 6ms of input lag, and frankly the move to 60 hz is more noticeable than the increase in input lag (no perceivable motion blur).

Unless you want 60+hz, input lag is usually not a problem (at 60hz ips with slightly higher input lag is always better)

He is talking about ghosting here and not input lag. 4ms is the response time for grey to grey.

Refer http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/278610-display-technology-faqmythbuster/ for what the difference between input lag and response time.

anything that is manufactured today has no serious ghosting, unless it's a 50$ throwaway monitor.

for example u2414h has 8ms response time compared to gaming monitors

How reliable are Acer monitors usually?

If I order Online and if it shows up with few dead pixels, it might really annoy me..

They're fine. You can always RMA the display if it comes with dead pixels.
