H100i temps on i7 4790K

ExcitezR

so i have had my H100i for a while now so it has the old backplate style thats not that good for z97 because it does not screw up as tight and i have seen people do the washer method to fix there temps and was wondering if i should do it.

Temps under photoshop and lightroom rendering i get to about 70c

temps under gaming e.g. GTA for 5 hours 64c max on one core.

idle temps are about 25-35c

Fan speed with 2 noctua fans was about 50-60% @ 100% fan speed it wont go above 54c in gaming.

i only ask because is there any point me doing this washer method because the people that do are running in the high 80c

Idk, but I've just gotta say, "thats not good for Z97" is an incorrect thing to say, as the chipset doesn't matter, it's the socket that matters.

Idle temps and even load temps are fine, so no, no reason to use the washer method.

Z97 isn't a socket, it's a chipset.
