hmmm .. so guys .. which is better for gaming ??

plz i know there are a lot other CPUs out there i5,i7 and all that stufff BUT..

Intel Pentium G3258

                       or

 AMD Athlon X4 860K

athlon supports more memory is unlocked and 4 threads when pentium has 2 .. also pentium supports only 1333 mhz of memory ..

so what i choose ... i will game on it ... ( LoL, CS:GO, Bettlefield, COD)

Would these CPUs run GTA V ... ( i dot think so but i think its better to ask )

EDIT :

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2FJCcfthis is the rest of build withouth mobo ( cause its different socket the athlon and the pentium .. no cae cause i might build it IN my desk .. ( might do a project and post it ) and no cpu cause i need your help ... budget ( no case .. 550 - 600 $ )

Honestly the best thing to do, would be to give us your budget for the whole PC and see what the community can come up with, because its impossible to say without knowing the rest of your PC, what GPU etc is just as important

Greece, why didnt you say

What is your budget in Euros, why did you use the US part picker and give your budget in dollars - US prices are so different to European ones

I'm running a g3258 for a CPU I had a choice of going with either a athlon based build or a Pentium one by watching this video : http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=qIT9uLDjZcgit made my choice a lot more easier so I went with the motherboard supporting the greatest over lock for the CPU which w as s the h81 m-c I gotta gtx 650 a 450 W psu from cooler master and a cougar a rchon case to rap it up also corasair vengeance ddr3 1600 mhz RAM of 8 GB so there you go all for $400

G3258 is shit. Yeah it gives super good highs vs FX and stuff like in the above post video. But then you try to run GTAV, Ryse, FC4 and you find that those shitty 2 threads (not cores, i3's HT makes it a nice CPU) stutter your games and you can't do a thing except limit fps in gta v with msi afterburner.

And then you will come here and cry about it.

Get an i3 or an Athlon 860K.

Ps: i'm a 860k owner, almost got honeypotted by g3258, gladly to run GTAV at ~40 fps smoothly.

I like this one, if you can afford an ssd as well it would be perfect. Doesn't need to be huge, 120gb will do the trick.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

Absolutely yes. Expect 40fps at cities and 60fps in desert, which is not bad.
