Do not for any reason get an ultrabook with only 4gb of RAM. It honestly shouldn't even be an option anymore.
It creates huge issues, mine has a huge issue opening even 15 tabs.

I'm currently looking to upgrade for that sole reason.

Agreed with this.

Although I highly, highly doubt you'd capp at 4gigs just with 15 tabs... I don't know what kind of tabs you have :P

It might have been a bit of an exaggeration, but with 3 windows and say 9 tabs in each, the system chugs, freezes, and ultimately crashes the browser.

Happens with both Firefox and Chrome.

Didn't used to happen in Firefox but the updates a little while ago made it just as bad as Chrome resource wise.

I have the XPS 13 and skimped out for the 128/4 GB (SSD/RAM) model because I got a good deal on it. Had it for over a month and I haven't had an issue thru normal use. My usage is web browsing and productivity. Typically I have 10-20 Chrome tabs open - usually a few of those are Youtube videos as well as MS Word and Excel open.

So IMO it depends on your usage. If you are using it for browsing and general stuff like me then 4 GB of RAM will be adequate. Ideally I would like more RAM, but the budget was more important for me.
