280 VS GTX 960

If it were for the 280x I would say 280x but the 960 beats the 280.

Depends on the rest of the build but I'm gonna vote for the GTX 960 anyways. It's a good 1080P card and NOT 3.5 years old like the 280/HD 7950

Age doesn't really matter if it has better performance.

This is system I am planing to build with 280 in it, but I have a lot of people that GTX 960 is better.

Spend the rest of the money on something more worth like CPU/motherboard.

Also ditch this SSD. It's so crap that it makes me puke out of my eyes. If you want an SSD get at least an MX100.

WAY too slow for an SSD. Not worth the money at all. At it's price you are better off with a regular HDD.

You don't understand.

Gigabytes don't affect how fast an SSD or even an HDD will perform.

The Read/Write speeds of the SSD decide how fast an SSD will run..

Here is how "fast" that SSD is:

The 960 is a slightly better GPU with an i5 or i7, but a much better choice with an FX series CPU.

Any 280 is better than 960 unless you play games that uses OpenGL.

Oh God no, I thought you already had the FX-6300. Get an i3-4160 or an i5-4460 and an H97 board, and also skip that garbage SSD. That SSD is cheap because they went to using really cheap components that kill performance after all the glowing reviews of the original hardware had been done. Kingston is scamming people with their V300 SSDs now. That $50 you'd save on skipping the crap SSD would make the i5-4460 (or i5-4440 which is also awesome) in your price range I think. There is a good reason everyone recommends i5 CPUs here: they're monsters for gaming and are available for decent prices. Anything above a locked i5 and you get into some big diminishing returns for your dollar when it comes to gaming performance, while anything less than an i5 can be a pretty big sacrifice for performance with a midrange or better GPU. An i3 will play most new games well but an i5 will do them all.
