On a more serious note, if you are wanting to get into the tech industry in some way, try to get some work placement as soon as you can. Even if it's just volunteer part time work while you study. I'm around a month off finishing my computing course, but everywhere I've looked at wants experience, not just the qualification, so I'm going to have to go for an internship if I can't find a good placement.

If you're looking at going into programming, database, or something that requires you to learn a language, start as soon as you can. Java is a good base to start for the basics, then you can move to something like C# which is very similar. SQL can be useful for database, but it's pretty easy to learn.

Monkey tamer. It's an idea, but you didn't give us much to go on.

I'm sorry, well...

Become a bricklayer on sea! (Dutch joke :P)

What are you doing right now? Wouldn't it be logical to expand on your interests and previous education?

.. currently I'm mostly studying theoritical subjects such as maths, chemistry, physics, swedish and english. In my second year tho, I'll start with programming, webbserver programming, etc. I'm obviously interested in computers, both on the hardware and software side.
