Hyper 212X vs Seidon 120V vs H60 for 4690K

Go to solution Solved by Saladin,

For 4690K, 4.5 GHz is expectable?

Depends on the chip you have. For example on one 3570k I can get 4.65 GHz and on another it tops out at 4.3. Just depends on the chip. You have to play around with the multiplier and the voltages and find out what is stable. That being said 4.5 isnt unusual and is a good target to shoot for, a hyper 212 will be able to handle the temps from an overclock at that level assuming your chip can achieve it (keep it under 1.35 volts, the lower the better).

Which is best: Hyper 212X vs Seidon 120V vs H60?

I need for 4690K OCed at 4.5-4.6 GHz.

Chassis: CM N500 (Plenty of space)

RAM (Future): Kingston HyperX Fury 2x4 GB (Low profile)

Stock temps:

Idle: 43 C

Stressed (Maximum): 68 C

I am looking at 70 C at 4.5 GHz

CPU: Core i5 4690K | Motherboard: ASUS Z97-A | RAM: 2x 8 GB 1866 MHz |
GPU: ASUS NVIDIA GTX 1060 6GB | PSU: Corsair VS550 | Boot Drive: 840 EVO 250GB
| Monitor: Dell S2216H 1080P IPS

I would go with a hyper 212, best price to performance. but remember it is impossible to predict what overclocks you can/will achieve and what temps you will have at those speeds (silicon lottery). also please follow your own threads.
