This happened literally 45 minutes ago on the bus.

I go to Riverside Secondary in Port Coquitlam and I take the 160 to Vancouver everyday to get home because it stops at Coquitlam station. I then take the 169 home from Coq stn.

Either way my bus trips are always interesting, whether it's a political discussion turning into a political argument on the bus, Undercover policemen on the bus ( I am 100% serious, 2 cops that each had shopping bags and a thing in their ear, one followed me into the bank and said " I haven't seen him, are you still checking out coquitlam station?) to someone bringing on a bag (yes a plastic bag) full on assorted meats and a loaf of bread asking if anyone wanted a sandwich.

However today was something new, I get on at my usual stop Wilson ave at Shaughnessy st.

I go sit in the back with Noah, Caleb, Micheal and a kid who's name I do not remember. When we get on and sit down a man in about his twenties with a passport and check in his hand starts waving around a copy of advanced warfare, brand new.

Now these group of guys are fairly mature and we have very mature and intriguing conversations on the bus ranging from sports to politics. I swear Micheal knows more about american politics than most Americans would.

Going back to the story, Noah accepts the copy of the game. He and Caleb are brothers and do not own a ps4; however, he still takes the copy with I can only assume having the intention to sell it. Now this I would say shocked me because Noah is a smart and sensible person and I would not expect him to make such a decision. Either way the man just takes the receipt off the game and then says there you go.

Now 1000 red flags are going off in my head. I have the unfortunate flaw of always thinking of the worst case scenarios of situations often times. So I imagined him getting followed home, either killed or kidnapped and put into the sextrade or sold for ransom. I know, I know completely crazy and almost impossible; however, what if right? I mean a random person with a passport and a check in his 20's just randomly gives you a 60$ game for nothing then starts smiling and texting. Now I don't want the fact that he's twenty to be the only reason that he is sketchy because frankly that's not fair. His race should not affect my judgement of the situation; however, I feel it did a tiny bit. Now before anyone freaks out allow me to explain. "The Persians" in the area have a reputation to be sketchy. When I thought about it though I realized that this really wasn't why I was skecthed out. I am friends with plenty of "Persians" and they are some of the nicest people I've met.

Anyway he just takes the copy and no one else seems to be as concerned as I am. Now I am a grade twelve student and Noah is grade nine. I only really talk to Noah on the bus so it's not we are best friends. I do also like to believe in the good of people; however, I also believe the saying " If something seems to good to be true it probably is."  Was not made for shits and giggles. Maybe it's because I thought Noah had better judgement and was disappointing I guess, which looking back sounds a little weird. However, I talked the the guy beside me (again his name escapes my memory) and at first he was like "who cares" but then he also observed the situation and the man and seemed a little sketched out aswell. Noah just said I was to skeptical but like there are so many possibilities of bad things coming out of that and I just fail to see how one could ignore all of these. Maybe I watch and read to many movies and just fail the see the chance that he just really is giving it away for nothing

Am I crazy? Would you take the game? Would this raise any flags for you?

EDIT: also walking home I looked both ways and a car was waiting to turn and apparently only looked one way, he drove up and bumped me hard enough to knock me off balance so I fell on his hood and had to use both hands to stop me from smashing my face on his hood. Now I probably wouldn't have smashed my face on his hood but I tried to keep the severity of the bump as true as possible, hence why I refer to it as a bump and not a hit.

I must just be having a off day
