Do any error messages or error windows/box's show up,..?

Blackscreen? Does it Lock up so hard you cant recover opening task manager to kill the program?

BSOD?

What method of re-installling/updating.?

System/Chipset/GPU Drivers from Windows Update?, or System drivers manually put on by yourself via CD or Downloaded?

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

Well I would consider doing a graphics driver change.

If your crashing upon "Opening" any program that uses the GPU (Games so far) and Windows locks up and Has to be reloaded,..

Even Windows itself can act funky with bad display drivers running the whole show.

Uninstall Nvidia Display Drivers, Restart, Re-install the driver version to the latest version (if not used) and if your using the latest version, could be a bug, so install the previous version to latest if thats the case.

I'm not a nvidia user, and not sure if this is the case,.. but if your running SLI 660's, you may have to re-enable SLI when changing drivers.

I'm sure someone here knows more about that specifically.

When you say it "works better"..

Explain how so..

What differences..

…? I get the feeling you didn't read the whole thread or misunderstood the post.

Is it now working after reinstalling the driver? If so, mark it as answered, and if not, it's a bit of an odd issue.

Did you see who I quoted?

I was referring to the CrystalDiskInfo thing that someone mentioned in case that brings up any errors, if it does what can you do apart from replace the drive?

yeah sorry. To me, it looks like you're saying he should just replace it, without any ifs. It's kinda awkward on the mobile site, and I'm tired. Sorry
