slow start cause new grapgics card?

That13thGuy

I installed a r7 260x into my HP pc, making it a good gaming pc that can run gta 5 for example. But since I installed my grapgics card the booting is waaaayy slower, being stuck on a black screen before going in to my log in screen. I have wandows 8 btw. How can I fix this? Why does this happen? Does it really have to do with my new grapgics card?

Thnks in advance,

That13thGuy

After the windows logo, and yes I updated the drivers. I used to have a amd garphics card so it worken right away anyways.

Yes it is because of you new gpu and second is windows 8 u.u...

First make sure you disable update new software drivers from Windows update, and just disable Windows update. Put it on manual.

Then install the new and latest version driver of your gpu that you have downloaded.

This happens in laptops a lot, because the driver that Windows is installing isn't the same with the one AMD have on heir site so they fight each other.

Let me know if this helped.
