I would bump up to a 4690k if you want to squeeze some more performance there is no need for z97 if you are going with a locked cpu.

Also change that 970 model to another model like MSI's Twin Frozr or Gigabyte's G1 gaming one(Gigabytes is preffered because is the best one for overclocking).

The strix is a horrible model that gives quite bad overclocks and generally being a pretty bad aftermarket design.

Otherwise its quite good for 1080p.

I would say that get a Solid State Drive to your build something like a 120GB 850 EVO or something. It makes a big difference in non gaming use

 Casing: CM Storm Enforcer

 CPU: Asus Z97 Pro-Gamer

 Core: Intel i5 4690 3.5mhz

 CPU Cooler: CM hyper 212x

 HDD: WD Black 1TB

Ram: Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB 2400mhz

 GPU: Asus Strix GTX970

 PSU: CM Thunder 600w

Window: MS Win 7 Home Premium

more than enough, i would consider going with the 4690k instead of the 4690 though, especially since you have a cpu cooler, that would give you a lot more future-profness

I would save on the board and ram and get an SSD.. otherwise it's good for 1440 let alone 1080.

Also, I can't find any good reviews for the PSU, look into it and make sure it's one of CM's better models and not junk (they are hit and miss depending on the series)

You called the mother board a cpu and the cpu a core

Hey thanks for your advice I'm planning to get a SSD but im unsure of its size as I'm not proficient with raid

Raid is only necessary if you have more than one, and they are identical.

Size, you want enough room for the OS and maybe a couple programs that would benefit from an SSD so the 120~256mark is kinda the sweet spot.

Also, there's a sale on Newegg for Samsung 850 evo's
